The studio, who we are, how we teach - The most honest Ballroom Dance studio you will ever find and the most genuinely friendly place to learn to dance Ballroom, Latin, Swing, Hustle, and Salsa dancing. Our focus is "you"; making your experience with dancing easy, pressure-free, and the most exciting and fun it can be. We have no gimmicks and a clean reputation. We are known for our expert knowledge of dancing, our professional qualifications, our long time teaching experience, our honesty, the purity of heart within our words and our detailed method of teaching. Besides our Ballroom training, we have experience and an understanding of the theatrics of dance which combines acting and acrobatics with both floor and arial tricks to incorporate into your dancing. We have experience in the physiology of exercise and biomechanics which helps us understand how the body moves and its reactions and benefits to movement and dancing. We feel and express our dancing from within and want you to experience the same. We are not self taught. We are true professional with years of training from other reputable professionals and legends, years of practice, teaching and sweat equity. We did not learn by just watching others and claiming to be professionals. We are not just teaching steps, we are intentional and serious about what we teach you so that you will dance well for the rest of your life. We teach you an experience via a methodical system that produces results and we teach your entire body from the ground up and all of your being to dance. What we teach you and show you about dancing will be intoxicating and we hope will addict you to a world of continuous self expression and passionate execution.
Our background - In Ballet, Gymnastics, Square and Character Dancing, Lyrical and Jazz, Hip Hop, Clogging, Caribbean, Drama and Theater. All helps us to teach you to express your dancing in many wonderful ways and with much emotion. Our experience will provide you with a variety of choices in which to learn your Ballroom dances such as: the American and International Styles, the social and competitive levels. If you wish to perform, a routine can be choreographed for you so you can shine and live your fantasy.
Your learning environment - Smoke-free on a floating oak wood floor, fully mirrored wall and computerized music (with a speed control so you can have the music played at a comfortable speed for you until you are ready for the regular tempo). We will even videotape your progress if you wish and we will encourage you to take notes. We will guide you through the dance experience with kid gloves and tough love.
The Cincinnati Salsa Club (our social club at the studio), was created on March 27th 2004 with a kick-off dance and growing membership. Our goal is to get together with our students and their friends on the 4th Saturday of each month, teach a Salsa lesson and practice Salsa dancing putting into application all the fun new patterns being learned. The level of Salsa was still very young here in Cincinnati when we started. But with our training and experience from such cities as New York, L.A., and Chicago, and others, we helped to get Salsa on the map in Cincinnati and we could see everybody improving and enjoying themselves. Our students and area dancers came to our parties to practice and improve before going out to the public venues. With the help of our friend www.midwestlatino.com we've since put Salsa on the map and we are the first to take Salsa dancing to a new level in Cincinnati since 2004 and we continue to do so like no one else. It has become a great source of exercise, fun, networking and socializing. Currently Salsa dancing is very popular, with many of our students going to Bartini (the main Salsa venue) downtown Cincinnati, as well as some others to practice their dancing and share it with the public. We had put our monthly parties on hold for a while in order to get out in the public and visit some of the local venues. By popular request, we have brought back our monthly Salsa Social on every 4th Saturday.. Check our calendar for the next party date and times. Our classes- Some have a one hour practice included. The Levels can be repeated until you are ready to move up. Sessions are 6 weeks long and are dated to give you scheduling options. Partners are preferred but not required. Early registration discounts are available. Class size is limited.
